Eco-minded 3D filament manufacturer 3Dom USA has partnered with the commercial purging veterans at Dyna-Purge™ to bring commercial-grade cleaning and maintenance to 3D printers with Dyna-Purge® 3D Clean.
With the sudden availability of many intriguing 3D printing materials, printer operators are often switching between drastically different types of materials and colors. In the injection molding and extrusion industries (what some might consider a big brother to 3D printing) a purging compound is used when switching between such materials. No such compound has been available for 3D printers in a reliable and trustworthy format until now.
Dyna-Purge® 3D Clean is a non-chemical, non-abrasive thermoplastic purging compound that is safe for both operator and machine. These 8-inch segments (1.75mm and/or 2.85mm diameter) are specially designed by 3Dom USA with 3D printers in mind and come ready to use.
“We are very excited to be teaming-up with a leading supplier like Dyna-Purge” states Jake Clark, CEO of 3Dom USA. “As a full service distributor, we recognize that proper machine maintenance plays a critical role in the longevity of a 3D printer. Purging on a regular basis is a cost-effective method for cleaning and preserving your machine. For 35 years, Dyna-Purge has been a trusted name in commercial purging compounds so we are excited to be offering Dyna-Purge® 3D Clean to our customers.”
Dyna-Purge® 3D Clean purging compound is designed to purge all resins used in 3D printing. It is easy to use before or after printing a part, for color changes, resins changes, especially composite materials (i.e. glass filled nylons), and for preventive machine maintenance. The product delivers ease of use through its innovative cleaning formulation and wider processing temperature range, from 320° F to 575°F (160°C to 320°C).
“We are pleased to be working with an industry leader like as 3Dom USA to introduce all the advantages of Dyna-Purge to the 3D printing market,” said Tim Cutler, Dyna-Purge® Vice President.
